Steve returned from Miami, Florida where he worked
for 10 years as a senior project manager and estimator for a large commercial
contractor. Steve has Bachelor of Science degrees in both Architectural
Engineering and Civil Engineering from the University of Miami in Florida.
He has extensive experience, ranging from office buildings to restaurants
to international airport remodeling and has continued to grow. Steve's sharp
design sense, deep engineering knowledge, and attention to detail keep Hoogstraten
Builders on the leading edge of premier residential builders.

Philosophy
Hoogstraten Builders employs their own crew of highly skilled carpenters
performing the majority of the work with their own team, especially,
the all important interior trim details. For the balance they bring
an experienced team of professional subcontractors and suppliers who
share their vision.
Their intent is to remain as a small company, enabling them to focus
on a few high quality, custom projects each year, while remaining
lean to allow for exceptional pricing and value.
Hoogstraten practices organic architecture, preferring to blend with
the surroundings rather than dominate. Natural self-renewing materials
are used whenever possible, blending modern technology and building
advancements with time proven methods of quality workmanship.
Hoogstraten Builders seldom 'bids' work but the majority of their
clients' find it advantageous to negotiate the work while diligently
steering plans and specifications towards the clients' budgetary goal.
This allows an open and honest estimate policy and complete customer
insight and participation in how their money is to be spent. After
careful value engineering, detailed plans and specifications may be
converted to a fixed contract amount, resulting in few change-orders
and no surprises.
We offer full design services, including complete custom home plans,
modification of existing plans, or working with your designer or architect. |
